Hello there! I know things have been a bit quieter than usual here. Real life has been crazy and we’ve been keeping busy! There are lots of fun and exciting things going on behind the scenes, and I can’t wait to share those with you! In the mean time, I’m hoping to be getting back to my normal blogging routine. Especially since my favorite season is just around the bend!

Football is back, and school is back in session. It’s still in the 90’s here, but that didn’t stop me from wearing my boots to church yesterday! :) I love Fall and everything that comes along with it! I’m just starting to get ready to decorate for the season. I’ve kept my decor fairly traditional the last couple of years, but I’m thinking of switching things up a bit. I’m going for more of a “modern lodge” look for Fall.

I love deer and antler everything right now. I’ve seen a lot of beautiful antler candle holders in catalogs this season, but they have ranged anywhere from $60 – $250. Hello. No. I think you see where this is going now.

Yep! I decided to make my own! I found some faux antlers at Hobby Lobby and grabbed 2 bags of wooden candle cups.

I placed the antlers on the table where I plan to put them so I could plan where I wanted the candles to sit. Once I had the placement set, I attached the candle cups to the antlers with E6000 {my favorite adhesive!}. I put the glue on the bottoms of the cups and let them sit for at least 5 minutes before placing them on the antlers. Letting them sit a little while helps them adhere to the surface better. I let them cure for over 24 hours.

I wanted my candle holders to have a modern twist, so I planned on painting them white. I did a coat of spray primer first, and then finished them off with white spray paint.

I’m so excited with how these turned out! I can’t wait to show you how I incorporate them into my Fall decor. :)
